Tom has left us – he will always be in our hearts.
Tom had saved this poem as draft, we believe he would’ve wanted us to share this with you…
My candle burns at both ends
It will not last the night
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends –
It gives a lovely light

I’m so very sorry. So very, very sorry. Much, much, much love to you Milena, and to your two girls. Even though you know it’s coming – it’s still a terrible shock. I just don’t know what to say.
He loved you so much.
Liebe Milena, Laura & Stella,
Thomas, Natalie, Marc & Kira
Liebe Milena,
Mischi & Familie
I’ve been following Tom’s blog for a long time and always marveled at what a brave person he seemed to be and someone who lived life to the fullest. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
Milena –
I’m so sorry. That does not seem like enough but it’s all I have at the moment. Tom’s sense of humor and delight with life since I’ve known him are what I think of first and strive to emulate. My condolence to you and the girls and my thought are with you.
Christine

We don’t think we ever had better neighbors, and wish we could have stayed closer than an ocean away for the past 10 years. Stay in touch, our email is always open.

Milena..it’s Kim’s stepmom. I have followed Tom’s blogs from the start…so I feel that I know him, although I never met him. What a guy! The Edna St Vincent Millay poem is perfect…and Tom’s light will continue to shine. If ever you and the girls are in the US..we’d love to meet you and spend some time with you. Meanwhile, know that Tom is looking down on you girls..so lovingly. Betsy Banks
Milena – My heart goes out to you and the girls. I will always remember Tom’s enormous energy and laughter. He always brightened the space he was in. For so many of us who shared that crazy year at Trinity, our memory of Tom is treasured and he remains very vibrant in our hearts and minds.

Milena, Laura & Stella,
I worked with Thomas many years ago for Citibank in London, he was a true Gent and a pleasure to know.
I was amazed at his language skills and whenever I spoke to Tonguc I would ask after him.
I am deeply saddened to hear the sad news.
I will always think of him fondly.
Cherish those wonderful memories.
Deepest Sympathy
