I will make this entry from July 24th a fixed page, thus being able to tick off the things I still have to do. I got inspired by the eponymous film, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. Apparently some people got upset at the light-hearted way this story deals with cancer. Hey, get off it, it’s only the movies!
I really did enjoy it and it made me laugh out loud more than a few times. Here’s the original bucket list from the movie, as written down by Carter Chambers, Morgan Freeman’s character:
- Witness something truly majestic
- Help a complete stranger for a common good
- Laugh till I cry
- Drive a Shelby Mustang
- Kiss the most beautiful girl in the world
- Get a tattoo
- Skydiving
- See the pyramids
- Get back in touch (previously “Hunt the big cat”)
- See Rome
Not too bad, though I might skip on the tattoo and the Mustang. Here’s my own (slightly changed from July 24th):
Witness something truly majesticcheck- Help a complete stranger for a common good
- Laugh till I cry
- Drive a 1930’s Bentley
Marry the most beautiful girl in the worldcheck- Fly over the African savanna in a small plane
- Dive in the Great Blue Hole in Belize
- See the Taj Mahal, the palaces of Rajastan and visit Vietnam
- Get back in touch
- Walk my daughters down the aisle on their wedding day (and make an embarrassing speech)
Obviously, I’m missing a few, but I’m open to suggestions! Number two was a tough one until my friend Kim suggested Kiva.org. You’ll find it in my blogroll and you can do something too!
Oh, the check on number one: the births of my beautiful daughters Laura and Stella!
